A Legacy Born from
Bold Southern Flavors
It all started with a simple belief: great chicken deserves great respect — fresh ingredients, bold seasoning, and a commitment to crispy perfection in every bite.
Church's Chicken was founded in 1952 in San Antonio, Texas, just across the street from the Alamo. What began as a humble storefront selling fried chicken quickly became a neighborhood staple loved by families across the city. Our founder believed that delicious food should be accessible to everyone — full of flavor, made with care.
Over seven decades, we've expanded our menu, refined our recipes, and opened doors across the United States — but our soul has never changed. We still hand-bread every piece, use the same bold spice blends, and fry to golden perfection the same way we always have. Every order carries the spirit of that original San Antonio kitchen.
Today, we serve thousands of customers each week from our flagship location at 7919 Marbach Rd, and we're proud to continue the tradition of bringing real, honest chicken to real people — one crispy piece at a time.
